Asbestos Campaign
In its work of retrofitting businesses with high efficiency energy systems, Sustainable Works, the Spokane Alliance's community development corporation, has discovered a significant problem in the enforcement of safety standards relative to asbestos removal.
For that reason the Alliance has met with the Spokane Air Quality Board, Commissioner Bonnie Mager and we will be meeting with the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, in an effort to strengthen these regulations of this very dangerous material.
