After reading the weekly scripture here, I invite you to be in prayer for vulnerable people around the world (Haiti, Chile, Afganistan, Pakistan, African countries and others from the global south).
~Pastor Gregg Sealey
The Church Council (formerly “Ad Board”) is an important decision-making body for Covenant. It conducts all official church business, including the oversight of budgeting, staffing, facilities, and program development through its administrative committees. The main goal of this group is to ensure that we are faithfully pursuing that which God is calling us to do as a community of faith. Members of the Council are appointed by the Nominating Committee. For a full list of members or for ideas of how you can get involved contact the church office.
Board Of Trustees
Trustees oversee the physical property of the church, the building, the grounds, and all equipment. Come and sign up for a seasonal project to help out in the property department.
Finance handles income (gifts and pledges) and expenses for the church, manages and invests savings and reserve accounts, and provides guidance to the Church Council to balance the budget each year.
Memorial Fund Committee
Give a gift in memory, in honor of, or just a cash gift toward something you would like to see purchased for our place of worship to the glory of God. Come find out how our church has been blessed with the generosity of those gifts given to the Memorial Fund.
Our church is regularly cleaned, supplies replenished, items repaired, garbage removed, and all around well cared for by our maintenance individuals. There are many ways you can help with maintaining our beautiful space. By contacting the church office, you can volunteer to participate in keeping our space a beautiful one!
The Ministry Council consists of coordinators that oversee the connections of our ministry teams and represent these teams to the Administrative Board. An Education Coordinator, Outreach Coordinator, and a Small Group Nurture Coordinator confer with one another to determine the needs of our church, problem-solve, and oversee the lay ministry life at Covenant. They will also be planning an Orientation/Evaluation time for new committee members and chairpersons. They are also responsible for the Ministry Fair.
New Membership Team
Membership Ministry Team is a group dedicated to oversee and manage a vision of growth for Covenant. This growth would include opportunities to both grow our church family and expand its commitment to the faith and spiritual growth if its members. This committee is seeking individuals who are excited about the future and potential opportunities that can come from growing together in the Lord here at Covenant UMC!
Staff Parish is a committee responsible for coordinating the personnel issues of the staff here at Covenant. We meet monthly from September to June and help support the staff. We review salaries, evaluate health insurance coverage and costs, help with interviewing and hiring, provide a sounding board for Pastor Gregg regarding program development, and in general try to help Covenant run smoothly.
The Stewardship Committee serves to coordinate and conduct the annual pledge-giving campaign in support of the Church. Emphasis is on the particular need of all to be good stewards of what God has provided for us and to share generously our time, talents, and treasures.
Available for members and non-members to schedule your wedding and reception in Covenant’s beautiful sanctuary and multi-purpose room. Are you energized by hosting a gathering or are blessed by other people’s joy that you would consider volunteering your time to make someone’s day memorable?

The Worship Committee consists of a group of 7 to 10 people who gather once a month to plan and discuss all aspects of worship at Covenant. This includes Sunday morning worship services, special services, and all liturgical seasons of worship (e.g. Advent, Lent, and Pentecost). We address worship styles, music blends, service length and flow, guest speakers, and many other issues, while always seeking first God’s guidance and will.
Youth Ministry Team
Working closely with our youth director, this committee serves to support the middle school and high school youth programs. We meet monthly from September through June to discuss and plan youth activities, events, mission trips, fundraisers, etc.
