The Halloween candy and jack-o-lanterns are out so it must be time for the Creation Care team’s 4th Annual Holiday Décor Swap!

Instead of spending cash and the earth’s resources on new, often poorly made holiday items, we provide another option: sharing our lightly-loved decorations of all types with our Covenant family for FREE! Once again, we’ll also share our abundance with the New Hope Resource Center’s clients, especially those affected by the recent fires. NHRC clients will receive a special invitation to “shop” in Covenant’s gym Nov. 7. Anything left after Nov. 8 will be donated to New Hope for further distribution. Here are the details:

*Go through your decorations (for all holidays, not just Christmas!) and gather things you no longer love or use. Indoor décor, outdoor décor, artificial trees, lights, ornaments, gift bags and wrap, birthday party items, Halloween costumes, Nativity sets, holiday dishware, linens, clothing… (Please be sure all parts are present.) Nothing is too big or too small! Donations can be brought to the church beginning Nov. 1.

Decor Swap Hours

Saturday, November 7, 3-6 PM

Sunday, Nov 8, 11 AM-4 PM

*Burned Out Light Strings:  Yes, we’ll collect burned-out lights again for proper disposal. We’ll set up a light testing station during the swap. We’ll collect lights through Jan. 15.

There’s always such a wonderful selection! Please give generously, and then come “shop.” Not only do we get to purge our collections, but we also get to enjoy “new-to-us” items AND help reduce the dreadful glut of plastics/packaging and wasted resources each year.

Many thanks for your support!
