Our next Adult Ed series on January 18th and 25th, when Suzanne Alvarez will host a two-week class on Cathedrals.
What exactly turns an ordinary church into a cathedral—and why does it matter? Is it the soaring spires? The echo of centuries-old prayers? The hidden stories carved into stone and stained glass? Cathedrals aren’t just buildings; they’re time capsules, treasure chests, and spiritual landmarks all rolled into one. In this two-part series, we’re going on a globe-spanning adventure into the architecture, mystery, and beauty of some of the world’s greatest houses of worship. Based on Suzanne’s travels, we will explore everything from sanctuaries in South America to onion-domed marvels in Russia. Pack your curiosity—we’re about to step into places where history and holiness meet.

Then on February 15th, we will begin a six-week unit on (some of) the Parables of the Gospel of Luke. We hope you will plan to join us for these classes, as well invite someone new to attend with you!

If you have any questions or topic suggestions, contact Alisa Johnson or the church office.
